Parent Empowerment

The parental care and training are very important in handling children’s developmental problems. Our service designs and arranges the following activities and resources to help parents acquire relevant knowledge and skills:

1. Tips on development
After attending the first assessment by nurse, nurse will provide relevant recommendations and tips on nurturing their child. Parents can try to train up their child as suggested while waiting for the assessment. At the same time, they can encourage their children to explore more in their daily life to promote their development in all aspects.

2. Parenting channel
Parenting channel is a learning platform for parent. Through the videos, various techniques and methods of positive parenting are demonstrated to empower parents and caregivers in nurturing their children.

3. Developmental Training Programmes for Parents
Developmental training programmes is a series of training programmes designed to increase parents’ knowledge on child development, teach practical skills so as to enhance parents’ confidence to manage children’s problems and develop their potential.

4. Interim Support / Workshop
Our professional team will also recommend parents to attend appropriate interim support groups or workshops. Through these workshops, parents will have better understanding of their children’s developmental problems. The theories and practical skills enable parents to further understand their children’s emotional and behavioral problems and learn relevant facilitation skills to train them up.
